At the 2011 IARU Rowing Championships at Inniscara Lake, Cork, the Queen’s boat clubs recorded 4 victory pots, with 7 second places.
The Men’s Senior 2- was the first Queen’s crew since 1979 to win a men’s Senior sweep event at the Irish Champs. The Men’s Inter 8+ recovered from a disappointing row in the Men’s 4+ the previous day, and won the Intermediate title, last won by Queen’s in 2009. Another Queen’s 2-, this time the Men’s Intermediate 2-, were victorious on the final day of the championships, as well as the Queen’s Women’s Intermediate 8+.
